About

Family History

This website, a result of amateur genealogical research, initially focused on recent or immediate ancestors like great-great grandparents and first cousins. As these researchers shared their findings and sought help, relatives began to connect.

With the advent of online information, mapping generations and tracing ancestry across the globe has become easier, though sometimes challenging. What started as a few lists of names has grown into a comprehensive family tree of thousands of individuals related through descendent lineages.

Much of this information has been obtained from living persons, historical birth records (100 years old), marriage records (30 years old), and death records (50 years old), as well as archival sources.

Due to privacy concerns, this website does not focus on living individuals. Even when information is in the public domain, all efforts are made to avoid offending any living person.

While it may be easier to obtain information from living individuals, practical difficulties and privacy issues must also be considered.

Therefore, this website serves as a public face to a broader genealogical project, inviting contributions from individuals with ancestral connections to the southeast Queensland and northeast New South Wales regions (Lismore to Eumundi), and the last names of Bibo, Cagnacci, Dillon, Mackney, Mazzer, Natoli & Natole, O’Keefe, Rummery, Simpson, Smith, Tomkinson and their relatives.

Economics and General

These two categories of documents help solve the problem of what to do with historical items that are interesting, but not important, as well as the author’s ongoing interest in economic issues.
