In 1873 Anton Bibo (1825) and his with Rosina Trenek (1845) arrived in Melbourne with three children, Katherine, Anton and Christina. Anton’s father was Jacob. Rosina’s father was Michael Trunk. Australian records do not reveal mothers and any brothers or sisters, and no more about earlier generations.

Anton Bibo
Anton Bibo was born in Nassau, Germany on 11 Sep 1825 was the second child of Jacob Bibo (1789) and Katharina Kempenich (1796), who had married in 1819.
Jacob and Katharina Bibo
Jacob Bibo was the son of Joseph Bibo and Magdalena Fink (married in 1788). Joseph’s father was Joannes and his mother not known.
Jacob was born in 1789 in Kiedrich, Germany, the eldest of seven children. The other children being Anna Maria (1792-1868), Franciscus (1795-1868), Catharina (1797-1799), Bernadus (1800-1810), Sebastianus (1802-1803), and Wendelinus (1804-1872). When he was 24 years old, his mother Magdalena Fink died (December 1813).
On 10 Oct 1819 when they married, Jacob was 30 years old and Katharina was 23 years old.
Katherina was the daughter of Antonius Kempenich (10 Sep 1772) and Margaretha Brückman (no known dates). Katharina was born in 1796, in Kiedrich, she was baptized on 03 Dec 1796. Other family members have not been researched yet.
Jacob and Katharina had four children: Anna Maria Bibo (22 Jul 1823), Anton Bibo (11 Sep 1825), Jacobus Bibo (20 Jul 1828), and Franz Bibo (04 Dec 1830).
Rosina Trenek
Rosina Trenek was born in Nassau, Germany on 04 Oct 1845, the sixth child of Michael Trunk (1804) and Sabina Sadoni (1809). Trunk is recorded as Rosina’s surname in German records, while Australian records use Trenek.
Michael and Sabina Trunk
Michael Trunk (1804-1860) was the third child of Valentin Trunk and Christina Kettenbach. He had two brothers and two sisters: Sophia Trunk (1801), Johann Joseph Trunk (1802), Rosina Trunk (1807), and Joann Valentin Trunk (1811). When he was 23 years old, his mother Christina Kettenbach died, on 21 Feb 1828.
On 10 Oct 1830 aged 26 years, he married Sabina Sadoni who was aged 21 years in Rauenthal, Germany. He had eight children with Sabina Sadoni: Margaretha Trunk (08 Mar 1832), Adam Trunk (11 Oct 1834), Katharina Trunk (12 May 1837), Sophia Trunk (06 Jun 1840), Johannes Trunk (23 Nov 1842), Rosina Trenek (04 Oct 1845), Christina Trunk (28 Mar 1849), Jakob Trunk (24 May 1851).
Michael Trunk died on 30 Jan 1860 when he was 55 years old. On 02 Feb 1860, he was buried in Rauenthal, Germany.
Sabina Sadoni was born in 1809. She was the second child of Georg Lehnhard Sadoni and Katharina Deboin. She had two sisters: Margaretha Sadoni (1804), Katharina Elisabeth Sadony (1824).
Johannes Bibo
Something not known from Australian records is the first child of Anton and Rosina. Katherine appears as the first child in immigration records, however German records reveal an earlier son.
Johannes Bibo was born in Nassau, Germany on 10 Oct 1865, five months after the marriage of his parents earlier that year. He died aged seven months on 01 Jun 1866 and was buried on 03 Jun 1866.
